May 1st 2022 Fierce decamped to centre Milton Keynes Shopping centre along with some of the UK’s strongest man team to run UK’s Strongest Kid.

A FREE event open to ages from 4 -16 with family tickets to UK’s Strongest Man in June at the MK Dons up for grabs.

Earlier in the week Jess from Fierce did a radio interview with BBC 3 counties about the event along with 5 x UK Strongest Man Glenn “The Daddy” Ross.

On the day we were joined by current UK’s Strongest Man Gavin “The Bull” Bilton who signed certificates for the children and had pictures with them and lots of the parents.

The children were split into 4 different age groups; 4-6, 7-9, 10-12 and 13-16, to complete the course they had to carry a sandbag 10 metres with weights ranging from 10kg to 40kg, then overhead press a dumbbell with both arms individual using weights from 3kg to 18kg, lastly they had to load a medicine ball onto a keg or a barrel with the weights here ranging from 5kg to 20kg – these events mimicked those competed by the Strongman in competitions.

The runs were timed with the girl and boy winners for each age category winning  family tickets to UK’s strongest man in June where they will be presented with a medal in front of the crowd.

Over the course of 4 hours over 350 children registered and entered the event with many of them having multiple attempts we estimate the number of go’s to be closer to 500.

A busy and fun day out for all.
