6th June 2020
The day attracted 20 individuals ranging from beginners to improvers, all hoping to develop their Atlas Stone techniques.
Our resident Strongman Andy Curtis hosted the day, with one of our members Pete Sochart providing additional support to the competitors.
The day started with some smaller sandbags, focussing on teaching people the basic techniques as the day went on tacky was applied and we switched over to the Atlas Stones. It was incredible to see participants starting on lower weights but as confidence grew heavier weights were attempted.
We ended the day with everyone achieving a PB on stones, with some of the first timers lifting 140kg stones.
We’re all looking forward to running another stones workshop next year.
